Optimizing Revit Workflows Using Model Text and Text Parameters

1. Start by creating a new metric standard model for Family 1. Place the model text on the front facade and align it to the center (left/right) reference plane. Then, align the bottom of the text to the reference elevation. Finally, select the reference plane below and change it to a weak reference.

2. Next, create a new metric standard model for Family 2. Load Family 1 into it, then place the model text. Create a similar instance and place it again. Add parameters of the type “Text,” as shown in the image below.

3. On the floor plan, create a rectangular stretch and then add a reference plane on the front elevation. Introduce a parameter named h and link it with the “Result” association, as illustrated in the figure.

4. Finally, create a new project file and load Family 2 into the project to test your setup.
