Revit’s 17th version introduced a family visibility preview toggle within the family editing interface. This feature allows users to check the visibility of family components across various views and detail levels directly in the family editor. This eliminates the need to load the project for testing, significantly reducing the time spent verifying visibility settings.
To access this toggle, look for it in the view shortcut command bar inside the family editing environment.

Clicking the toggle activates the family visibility preview, indicated by a yellow border around the view.

From there, you can switch between different levels of detail to see the visibility preview instantly.

Note that the preview toggles for different views must be enabled individually. This feature does not provide a single switch for all views within the family.
