BIM Q&A | Revit 2017 Activation Issue: Prompted to Activate Even After Successful Activation on Windows 7 (Administrator Mode)
Follow these steps to properly install and activate Revit 2017:
1. Launch the application, choose the installation folder, and select the English directory to continue.
2. Click Install and, when prompted, select Chinese in the installation instructions. Since Chinese is already set as default, no further action is needed.
3. Accept the license agreement by clicking I accept, then click Next to proceed.
4. Choose your desired installation configuration and start the installation. Note that the process may take some time, so please be patient.
5. Select your license type and enter the serial number when prompted.
6. Click the Activate button.
7. Enter the serial number again as required.
8. Copy the registration machine file into the installation directory.
9. Run Autodesk 2017 x64.exe as an administrator.
10. Paste the application number into the Request field and click Generate.
11. Enter the activation code in the order provided.
12. Once activation is successful, you can start using Revit 2017 without further activation prompts.
