BIM Q&A | Why Don’t Objects in Tekla Drawings Float or Auto-Label?

BIM Q&A | How to Prevent Elements in Tekla Drawings from Shifting or Being Automatically Annotated

The component diagram uses the clamp position of the main component as its reference point. This means that as long as the clamp position of the main component remains unchanged, the elements within it will stay fixed and not shift unexpectedly.

If you need to make modifications after the drawing is created, try to avoid altering the clamp points of the main parts. For instance, when adjusting the length of a main component, do not drag the clamp points directly; instead, use a combination of tools to make the change.

If you change the clamp points of all your main components, the elements are likely to shift even more dramatically.
