How to Select Background Effects in Navisworks for Better Visualization

How to Choose Background Effects in Navisworks In Autodesk Navisworks, you can select the background effect by entering the Scene View. Currently, the following options are available:

Monochrome: The scene background is filled with a single selected color. This is the default background style and works well for both 3D models and 2D drawings.

Gradient: The background features a smooth gradient transition between two chosen colors. This effect is suitable for 3D models and 2D drawings alike.

Horizon: In 3D scenes, the background is divided at the ground plane, creating a sky and ground effect. This simulated horizon helps indicate your orientation within the 3D environment. By default, the horizon aligns with the world vector set under File Options > Direction. Note that this background is not supported in 2D drawings or orthographic views.

Note: The simulated horizon is purely a visual background effect and does not represent an actual ground plane. For example, when navigating below ground and looking upward, you won’t see behind the ground plane; instead, you’ll view the model against the sky-colored background from below.
