Revit Fails to Display or Update Recent File Icon

Revit Does Not Display or Update the Icon for the Most Recently Opened File

Issue:

The recent file list and icons (thumbnails) on the homepage are not updating to show the latest files.

Current Status:

We are actively investigating the potential causes of this issue and working on appropriate solutions.

Solutions:

1. Edit the Revit.ini File

Open the Revit.ini file using a text editor such as Notepad. The file is located at:
C:UsersUSERNAMEAppDataRoamingAutodeskRevit2019

Search for the entry __AI_T_SC_0__ and delete any lines that reference Revit template files (.rte).

Save the changes to Revit.ini and then restart Revit 2019.

2. Delete the Revit.ini File

Alternatively, you can delete the Revit.ini file located at:
C:UsersUSERNAMEAppDataRoamingAutodeskRevit2019.

After deletion, restart Revit 2019.
