How to Use Revit's Attachment Top and Bottom Tools Effectively

Using Revit’s Attachment Top/Bottom Tools

Many buildings feature sloping roofs, such as villas, where these roofs not only provide better drainage but also add decorative appeal compared to flat roofs.

When working with sloping roofs in Revit, a common challenge is how to properly align walls beneath the slanted roof.

You might think the solution is to select the wall, edit its profile, and manually adjust it to fit the roof. While this method works, it can be tedious and time-consuming.

Fortunately, there is a simpler way. By using Revit’s Attach Top/Bottom tool, you can quickly and easily make the wall conform to the eaves.

Likewise, using the Detach Top/Bottom option allows you to remove the connection between the wall and the roof whenever needed.
