How to Arrange View Names with Chinese Characters in Order in Revit
In Revit, the template file set up within a project allows you to view floor plan names in the Project Browser under specific subcategories, such as “First Floor,” “Second Floor,” “Third Floor,” and “Fourth Floor,” as shown in the image. But how can you organize these view names, which may appear jumbled, into the correct order?
1. Left-click on the Project Browser within the View (Guotuo Life Square Project) section. Then select Browser Organization. A Browser Organization dialog box will pop up. Choose Guotuo Life Square Project and click the Edit button, as illustrated below.
2. In the Browser Organization Properties dialog box that appears, navigate to the Grouping and Sorting tab. Under Sorting Method, select Related Elevation and set it to Descending Order. Finally, click OK to confirm, as shown in the screenshot.
3. Back in the Browser Organization dialog box, click Apply and then OK. The floor view names in the Project Browser on the main interface will now be arranged in the correct order, as demonstrated below.
Summary: By following these steps, you can easily edit and organize the Project Browser. Since different projects require different browser lists, customizing the Project Browser helps streamline your modeling process.
