Prefabricated PC Factory Management System

As more enterprises prioritize the transformation toward construction industrialization, numerous production and processing factories for precast concrete (PC) components have emerged. However, these factories currently face challenges due to the unpredictability of product types, resulting in inefficient factory planning. Operations still rely heavily on manual strategies, which hinders effective quality control.

To achieve comprehensive management across design, production, logistics, construction, and operation stages within the construction industrialization sector, establishing an information-based platform is essential. Information management fundamentally involves integration, with core components being data platform construction and advanced data mining. By leveraging information management systems, various departments—design, procurement, production, logistics, construction, finance, operations, and management—are interconnected to share resources and data seamlessly. Additionally, modern technologies help identify potential customers, bolster decision-making, reduce inventory, enhance production efficiency and quality, and enable rapid adaptation, ultimately strengthening enterprise competitiveness in the market.

The extensive application of information technology in project management, procurement, warehouse management, and production supports prefabricated parts factories in planning production schedules and procurement tasks effectively. This approach reduces material waste, lowers costs, and guarantees timely product delivery. Early detection and resolution of anomalies throughout production demonstrate the use of the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) cycle management method in managing prefabricated components.

Prefabricated | PC Factory Information Management System

(1) Project Management

The project management module oversees and maintains essential information such as project numbers, names, summaries, along with production orders and project execution status. It also reserves interfaces for managing the entire project lifecycle, including on-site installation and construction phases.

(2) Procurement Management

This module handles enterprise procurement functions, including supplier management, inquiry sheets, purchase orders, procurement tracking, warehousing, and unit price trend reports. It supports a mandatory two-level approval process based on purchase order amounts. By managing procurement and supplier relations effectively, it ensures timely control of critical materials required for product delivery.

(3) Warehouse Management

The warehouse management module offers comprehensive functionalities typical of general warehouse software: procurement and warehousing, material receipt, requisition, allocation, and inventory statistics. Innovatively, it features a dual inventory management system to address complex inventory needs such as monitoring supplier/customer stock, tracking logistics upstream and downstream, and integrating with financial inventory accounts.

It supports hierarchical multi-warehouse management and tracks inventory changes across internal locations, external sites, customers, suppliers, and production workshops. The system also caters to logistics operations for large-scale retail e-commerce distribution centers, including wave sorting.

Further, an automatic matching function aligns Bill of Materials (BOM) requirements with inventory data. Coupled with material requirement planning, this allows for automatic warehouse replenishment based on the company’s inventory and restocking strategies. This advancement surpasses traditional ERP inventory management, delivering a full-fledged Warehouse Management System (WMS) application.

The system generates various inventory statistical reports such as inbound/outbound reports, detailed accounts, requisition summaries, and material classification statistics. It supports barcode/QR code scanning, safety stock maintenance, automatic replenishment, and project-based material consumption tracking.

(4) Production Management

MRP Calculation: The system automatically translates production plans, BOMs, and material inventories into material requirements and production task lists. This aids enterprises in scheduling production and procurement efficiently, reducing waste, cutting costs, and ensuring on-time delivery.

Production Plan Management: Production plans link to project details, product quantities and timelines, BOMs, process routes, inventory pathways, material needs, quality control, labor hour tracking (by piece or time), production drawings, and batch traceability. This enables comprehensive tracking and documentation of the production process.

Production Basic Data Management: This includes management of products, material lists, and process routes. The system accurately records product attributes, supports flexible multi-level BOM creation, configures process routes, manages version changes, and handles intangible BOMs. BOMs can be utilized based on kits or manufacturing orders.

Efficient User Interface: The system offers at least five viewing options—lists, forms, Gantt charts, calendars, and graphical reports—allowing users to manage production plans, orders, and processes with ease. Features include advancing to the next order via order views, schedule control, and time scheduling through Gantt charts.

(5) Quality Management

The quality management module complies with national standards for quality and production material traceability in the construction industry. It includes functionalities like batch assembly management, concrete mix formulas, steel reinforcement reports, curing test block tracking, and finished product quality reporting. The system also supports customizable quality category functions to meet specific requirements.
