How to Generate DWF Files Using AutoCAD
1) Open the graphic file you want to export.
2) Use the Plot command.
3) In the Printer/Plotter section under Print Configuration, select DWFePlot.pc3 as the printer.
4) If needed, you can customize DWF settings in detail. Click the [Properties (R)…] button to open the Printer Configuration Editor – DWFePlot.pc3 dialog box. Then, choose Custom Features. Within this dialog, click the ‘Custom Features (C)…’ button to access further customization options.
5) In the Print to File section, enter the desired file name and specify the file location. This location can be a local folder, a network path, or even a URL on the Internet.
6) Switch to the Print Settings tab to adjust general options for your drawing output. Since DWF is primarily used for publishing design results, you don’t need to strictly set the output scale. After determining the drawing size, set the print scale to Scale by Paper Space, which typically meets most requirements. Once you confirm the preview, you can proceed with printing.
