Adjustment and Batch Connection Processing of Sloped Pipes in Revit MEP
In Revit MEP, adjusting the slope of drainage pipes often requires extensive reconnection work. HYBIM 3.0 introduces two new features—slope adjustment and connecting pipes with slopes—that significantly enhance processing efficiency.
1. Connecting Pipes with Slope
Overview: This primarily addresses the issue of connecting two sloped water pipes.
Key considerations include:
- If the centerlines of the two water pipes are parallel on the horizontal plane (either along the same line or two projected lines), they cannot be connected.
- If the projected lines of the two pipes intersect, and the vertical (Z-axis) difference at the intersection point is less than twice the larger pipe diameter, connection is possible; otherwise, it is not.
- When connecting, the pipe with the smaller slope value determines the connection slope. The conditions and specific effects of connecting two pipes are detailed accordingly.
2. Slope Adjustment
Overview: This function allows continuous adjustment of slope and elevation for all horizontal pipes and fittings in the positive direction. Users set the desired slope value and starting pipe position to apply the changes.
