Mastering Filter Techniques in Revit to Extract Volume Data for Specific Walls

How to Skillfully Use Filters in Revit to Extract Volume Information of Specific Walls

If you want to determine the volume of two walls in your project—both with and without doors—here is a step-by-step guide to creating a detailed schedule to achieve this.

1. Add annotations to both types of walls: those with doors and those without.

2. Navigate to the View tab, then select Schedule/Quantities from the dropdown menu, as illustrated below.

3. Choose Wall as the category, then click OK to proceed.

4. In the schedule properties, add Volume and Comments to the available fields, then confirm your selection.

5. The schedule will now display the volume information for the specified walls, allowing you to analyze the data effectively.
