Located in the southern part of Ceará state, in the city of Rua Jindunourt, this school serves students from kindergarten through high school. Besides the administrative and service departments, the facility includes classrooms, libraries, laboratories, multipurpose rooms, cafeterias, sports fields, auditoriums, and public spaces. The 3,700-square-meter building sits on a corner lot, with expansive areas facing north and west.
Construction was positioned along the site’s perimeter to shield the west facade and provide shade for the interior, creating a comfortable recreational and leisure environment for all students. Classrooms face east and north, while the sports area is oriented west and protected by a metal roof.

The school is organized primarily over three levels. The ground floor serves as the entrance level, including the main entrance, an integrated plaza, auditorium, administrative offices, and parking. The second floor houses the cafeteria, sports field, classrooms, and children’s area. The third floor is dedicated to additional classrooms, the library, and laboratories.
Only a portion of the sidewalk area has been completed, with plans for future expansion to finish the remaining sections. A four-meter elevation difference between the entrance and first floor is managed via ramps and stairs arranged across several platforms, which together form a central courtyard—a relaxing hub for students. This uniquely shaped courtyard, featuring smooth slopes and steps, offers views over the entire space and includes a small open-air theater where students can perform. Its irregular contours also invite children to play and explore.

The building’s structure is formed from reinforced concrete columns, beams, and slabs. All walls are finished with ceramic tiles, and floors throughout the facility feature an industrial style, except for the central courtyard, which uses interlocking tiles. The construction team chose bold primary colors—yellow, red, and blue—applied alongside a dominant white, creating a lively and engaging educational environment.

Thermal comfort is a primary design principle of this project. To achieve this, extensive protective layers with metal tiles were installed on the west facade, where the sports area is located. Hollow metal components were used in circulation spaces, while concrete sunshades on the roof of the children’s classroom garden provide filtered sunlight to reduce heat. Classrooms include lighting panels that allow natural light to enter. The school maintains a direct connection to the street, enclosed only by metal fences, ensuring visual openness and natural ventilation—qualities appreciated by both students and parents.
