Although the concept of construction simulation has existed for a long time, its implementation has faced challenges due to limitations in technical tools and established work habits. In many domestic projects, construction simulation often relies on 2D methods, which makes it difficult to provide accurate and robust data support to the construction teams. However, with the increasing adoption of BIM (Building Information Modeling) in China, BIM-based construction simulation has become widely used in various projects across the country. Today, I will discuss the key benefits of BIM-based construction simulation.
1. Before starting the actual construction, a BIM model is created to integrate the construction plan, data, on-site environment, and design scheme into a single platform. Using BIM software for construction simulation allows for virtual site inspections, significantly reducing quality and safety issues while minimizing the need for rework and corrections.
