The 2022 International Underground Engineering and Tunnel Technology Exhibition (referred to as the Tunnel Exhibition) will officially open on November 23rd at the Nanjing International Expo Center. With China’s economy continuously growing and its comprehensive national strength rising, along with rapid technological innovation, the country’s tunnel engineering sector has expanded rapidly. Construction scales in railway, highway, urban rail transit, municipal engineering, and other fields have reached the forefront globally.

Notably, China has completed several major cross-sea and cross-river tunnels, including the Lion Ocean Tunnel connecting Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Hong Kong high-speed railways running at 350 km/h, the Ningbo Yongjiang underwater tunnel, and China’s first underwater tunnel built using drilling and blasting—the Xiamen Xiang’an Tunnel.
