BIM Q&A | Challenges in Applying BIM Technology to Construction Management
I am an installation engineer at a construction company and have recently started working with BIM. Although I am not very familiar with it yet, I have heard that BIM is extremely helpful in optimizing installation processes and detecting clashes, especially for pipelines in garages. I want to learn more about this technology.
So far, I have only used and installed Revit software, but I would appreciate any guidance on how to get started. I am quite ambitious and would like to create a civil engineering model by myself—perhaps focusing on a garage—and then optimize the pipeline installation layout. Is this approach feasible? Thank you!

Revit offers powerful features such as pipeline clash detection and quantity takeoffs. The first step is to learn how to create accurate models.
