BIM Q&A | Which Department Is Officially Authorized to Issue BIM Certificates
The BIM certificate for housing and urban-rural construction, issued by the China Construction Education Association, is currently the only government-recognized certification in the housing and construction sector. This certification is overseen by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development.
It’s worth noting that the Education Examination Center under the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, which collaborates with the Graphic Society, does not mention BIM certification anywhere on its website. Essentially, it serves only as a platform without official BIM certification authority.
Regarding the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, there is no official BIM certification involvement either—just some informal references based on general observations.
