BIM Q&A | How to Select and Connect Equally Divided Points on a Circle Using Polylines in AutoCAD

BIM Q&A | In AutoCAD, I want to use polylines to connect points on a circle divided into equal parts, but I can’t select the points on the circle. Instead, I have to select the center of the circle.

If you’re working in AutoCAD and want to connect points on a circle that has been divided into equal segments using polylines, but find that you cannot select the points directly and instead must select the circle’s center, what should you do?

BIM Q&A | In AutoCAD, unable to select points on circle; only center selectable

To resolve this, open the “Capture Settings” window, go to the “Object Capture” tab, and enable the “Node” option. This will allow you to select the points on the circle directly.
