1. If you encrypted the file yourself:
Open the drawing, then go to Options > Open and Save > Security Options. Clear the password field (represented by “******”) and click “OK.” A prompt will appear asking to “Delete password from the drawing”—click “OK” and confirm again. After that, close the drawing. When prompted to save changes, click “Yes.” From now on, the drawing will open without requiring a password.
2. If the drawing wasn’t encrypted by you, or you forgot the password:
Unfortunately, if you don’t remember the password, there is no way to recover or remove it. Currently, no software exists that can bypass or crack AutoCAD passwords, so unless you recall the original password, the file remains inaccessible.
