BIM Q&A | How to Share Revit Linked Building Elevations with MEP Teams

BIM Q&A | Can the Revit Building Elevation from a Linked Model Be Shared with MEP?

Start by creating four elevations where the grid lines can be directly observed in the plan view. For example, first establish elevations 1, 2, and 3 before drawing the grid.

Some points remain unclear and may require further clarification. It is recommended to use a fully manual approach because if you draw the elevation first and then the grid, the grid will not appear in the 4-5 plan view. In such cases, you will need to return to the elevation view to make adjustments, which can be more cumbersome.

By creating the grid first, all grid lines will automatically intersect with the elevation. However, note that elevation 5 will not be visible in this setup.
