BIM Q&A | How to Set Shared Parameters for System Families in Revit

1. First, open your project and navigate to the Management tab. Click on Shared Parameters, which will open the Shared Parameters editing dialog box.

2. Next, create a new shared parameter file by specifying its location in your desired directory. Then, create a combined parameter name based on this file and confirm your settings.

3. After that, go to the Management tab again and click on Project Parameters. Select Add, choose Shared Parameters as the parameter type, click Select, add the shared parameter for concrete grade, and click OK.

4. Finally, in the Parameter Properties dialog box, select the construction categories where you want to apply the concrete grade parameter. For this example, check both Structural Framing and Structural Columns to add the concrete grade to beams and columns.
