BIM Q&A | Question: When importing Revit models into Guanglian Da calculation software, should the model be a building template or a structural template?
The key difference between structural and architectural templates in Revit mainly involves certain families and display settings. In my opinion, it is unnecessary to fully convert a structural template into an architectural one. Instead, you can simply add any missing elements based on the specific project requirements.
If building components are not visible within the structural template, you can adjust the discipline setting from “Structure” to “Architecture” or “Coordination” in the project settings to make them appear.
