BIM Q&A: Understanding the Difference Between Model and Local Views in Tekla Drawing Properties

BIM Q&A | What is the difference between the “Model” and “Local View” options in the view properties when adjusting drawings in Tekla?

The Model option ensures that the components in the drawing match their placement in the 3D model. For example, if a steel column is positioned vertically in the model, it will also appear vertical in the drawing.

On the other hand, the Local View option displays all drawings in a flattened or “laid flat” orientation, regardless of their position in the model.
