BIM Q&A | How to Install a Quota Library for Guanglianda BIM 5D
The New Point BiMu Cloud 5D differs significantly from Guanglianda BIM and Luban BIM in terms of functionality. Unlike Guanglianda BIM and Luban BIM, which primarily convert Revit model file formats and lack built-in calculation capabilities, the New Point BiMu Cloud 5D is a completely new and independent BIM calculation tool. As a result, quantity takeoff for engineering projects with Guanglianda BIM and Luban BIM still relies on traditional calculation methods.
The New Point BiMu Cloud 5D allows for seamless “mapping” of Revit model components, enabling users to maximize the use of existing models for accurate quantity takeoffs. When combined with Revit’s robust model information management features, this integration produces a synergy greater than the sum of its parts—truly embodying the BIM development concept. In contrast, Guanglianda BIM and Luban BIM, being developed independently, offer only limited Revit model conversion capabilities, making their workflows less efficient without Revit integration.
