How to Customize Elevation Views in Revit to Align with Project Orientation
1. Go to the View tab, then the Create panel. Click the dropdown arrow next to the Facade command and select Facade.
2. In the options bar, enable Attach to Grid. This will ensure that the newly created elevation view automatically aligns with the grid and is placed perpendicular to it.
3. Open the newly created elevation view to see the front elevation of your project model.
4. To create a section view aligned with your project model, select the Profile tool from the Quick Access toolbar. Draw a section line parallel to the project’s orientation, then open the section view.
5. To adjust the view in 3D, open the 3D view and click the ViewCube. Click the dropdown arrow below it and choose Directional to a Plane. Then select a plane in your model to align the view accordingly. If no planes are available, create a reference plane first in the floor plan view.
