How SketchUp Organizes and Manages Model Layers

How SketchUp Classifies and Manages Layers for Models

When you draw numerous models on a single layer and forget to organize them, how can you reassign those models to different layers?

First, create the desired layer in the Layer Control Panel by clicking the “+” button. You can name the layer using numbers or any preferred label, as shown in the example below:

Next, select the model and open the Layers toolbar. Directly change the layer assignment of the selected model within this toolbar to properly classify it into the new layer.

Alternatively, you can select the model, right-click, and choose “Model Info.” In the pop-up Model Info panel, you can also change the layer where the model is managed.
