How to Delete Linked CAD Files in Revit
When you link a large number of CAD drawings in your Revit project, the model’s memory usage can increase significantly, which may cause the software to lag. So, how do you remove unnecessary CAD files from your project?
You can simply select the CAD drawings you want to delete and press the Delete key on your keyboard. Alternatively, go to the Modify tab and click the Delete button. If the drawing is locked, make sure to unlock it first before deleting.
For CAD drawings linked into the project, you can also remove them via the Manage tab by using the Manage Links tool to delete the CAD files.
