What to do if Revit filters are set and checked, but graphic elements don’t display
The issue of graphic elements not displaying in Revit has been discussed in previous articles. Today, we’ll focus specifically on the case where graphic elements fail to show when filter rules are applied.
As illustrated below, I set filters to display conduits in different colors based on their circuit. For example, the filter rule for the WP1 circuit is: the circuit number includes “WP1”. There is also another loop in the project, “WP1-1,” with a filter rule: the circuit number includes “WP1-1.”
However, after applying these two filters, the conduits for the “WP1-1” circuit are not visible.
To summarize: the filter rules for “WP1” and “WP1-1” overlap. When the “WP1” circuit filter is turned off, the “WP1-1” circuit no longer displays because it contains “WP1” within its name. On the other hand, if the “WP1” filter is active, conduits from both circuits appear without any filtering effect.
Therefore, to achieve the desired filtering, you need to add additional conditions to distinguish between these circuits more precisely.
