Revit: How to View, Move, and Delete Shared Parameters
While you cannot rename existing shared parameters or change their types, you do have the option to move them to different groups or delete them entirely.
Here are the actions you can perform:
View Parameter Properties
Go to the Manage tab, then find the Settings panel and select Shared Parameters. In the Edit Shared Parameters dialog box, navigate to the Parameters section. Select the parameter you want in the list, then look for the Parameter Group box to view its attributes.
Move Parameters to Another Group
Again, open the Manage tab and click Shared Parameters in the Settings panel. In the Edit Shared Parameters dialog, select the parameter under Parameters. Click the Parameter Group box and choose Move. From the dropdown menu, pick the new group, then confirm your selection by clicking OK.
Delete Parameters
Navigate to the Manage tab, select Shared Parameters in the Settings panel, and open the Edit Shared Parameters dialog box. Under the Parameters section, select the parameter you wish to delete. Click the Parameter Group box and choose Delete.
Warning: Be cautious when deleting shared parameters, as they might be used in other projects. If you delete a parameter and later create another with the same name, Revit will treat them as different parameters.
