How Revit Can Quickly and Easily Modify Existing Piping Systems
When performing comprehensive management adjustments, you may find that pipes of the same color are divided into two separate systems. This can be challenging to fix later on. Here, we will explain a quick method to resolve this issue efficiently.
1. At the point where you need to change the piping system, locate a pipe and use the interrupt command at the appropriate position, or delete an elbow (tee) fitting as shown in the illustration.
2. Select the piping system you want to modify, then click on Pipeline System, followed by Segment System. In the pop-up dialog box, click Confirm, as demonstrated below.
3. Next, select the pipe that requires modification and choose the correct system type from the properties bar, as shown in the image.
Note: This method not only allows you to change the system but also helps detect any unconnected sections within the pipeline. By reviewing the information displayed after using this function, you can determine if the pipeline should be split into multiple physical systems and verify that the number of branches matches.
Key Insight: System errors that arise during modeling are often discovered at a later stage. By quickly correcting these errors as soon as they are identified, you save time, allocate more resources for future tasks, and improve overall work efficiency.
