Serena Residence, designed by Studio CK Arquitetura, is a contemporary mountain villa built for the 21st century. The owner’s vision was to create a luxurious villa ideal for either vacation or permanent residence. The name “Serena” reflects the home’s tranquil atmosphere, crafted to foster moments of happiness and relaxation. The design concept focuses on harmony with nature, preserving the southern cedar trees, and maximizing the enjoyment of lush greenery and natural sunlight.

The living area stretches 11 meters, combining two lounges within a unified environment. A cozy fireplace made from locally sourced natural stone anchors the space. The living room extends further through a large glass door, seamlessly connecting to the central SPA area of the house. The SPA is topped with glass and surrounded by sunshade screens on the sides, blending indoor comfort with the outdoor environment.

The SPA area, clad in natural stone, features unique furnishings and an inviting champagne-colored staircase bathed in sunlight. This space truly captivates and invigorates the entire home, evoking a sense of happiness and well-being. Notably, while the living area boasts towering 3-meter glass panels, the upper section allows additional sunlight and warmth to flood the space.

The kitchen is divided into two distinct zones, centered around a well-lit island where one can enjoy sunlight streaming through large windows and a glass ceiling. This design brings the essence of the Southern Ocean cedar directly into the space. A new gray-brown color palette enhances the kitchen’s ambiance, while an aluminum structure above the countertop serves as a shelf for books and potted plants, as Charlene explains.

Ascending the escalator that connects the three levels, the private upper floor features a popcorn room and four suites designed for maximum comfort and accessibility. The master suite boasts tasteful wallpaper and natural architectural angles, including a fireplace and a TV cleverly hidden behind a mirror. A spacious balcony offers breathtaking sunrise views. Both the bathtub and shower are designed to provide privacy and comfort, creating an environment that celebrates warmth, tranquility, and love.
