How to Fix Issues with Displaying Files Related to Revit Templates
When installing Revit, template files and material libraries are usually downloaded automatically if you’re connected to the internet. However, to save time, many users prefer to install the software offline. This approach can significantly reduce installation time but may lead to incomplete or missing template files, which affects how they appear in the software.
Solution: Download the appropriate template files for your Revit version from the internet and place them in the correct directory. The exact file path is illustrated in the image below.
After placing the files, reopen your family templates. You should now see the corresponding template files available, as demonstrated in the following image.
Post-installation, you might encounter missing project templates or system family library files. These can be restored by copying the required files manually. The location for these files is also shown in the accompanying figure.
Simply copy the RVT folder matching your Revit version to the specified location, then restart the application. If this does not resolve the issue, you may need to adjust the software settings as shown in the figure below.
