Innovations in Prefabrication: Exploring Magnetic Edge Molds

Prefabricated research | Magnetic edge mold

Prefabricated concrete magnetic edge formwork consists of steel formwork bars combined with an embedded magnetic suction cup system. The steel formwork is available in various sizes to accommodate different concrete component edge requirements.

The suction cup’s stretching force pulls the steel mold tightly against the bottom of the edge form, securing the edges of the components during forming. Because the steel mold and suction cup are integrated, there is no positional shift, ensuring the edge form system remains stable and deformation-free. Additionally, the suction cup allows for quick and simple operation, enhancing safety and overall stability on site. Using a compatible pry bar, the suction cup can be lifted easily, allowing the steel mold to be smoothly removed from the formwork base.

Since the suction cup system is embedded within the steel mold groove, concrete residue or other debris will not damage the edge formwork system.
