How to Display Elevation Points in 3D Views Using Revit

Techniques for Displaying Elevation Points in 3D Views Using Revit

Elevation points are typically placed on a horizontal plane. However, in 3D views, project requirements may call for positioning elevation points directly on the building. The challenge is that after rotating the view, these elevation points often appear tilted. So, how can you keep elevation points horizontal in 3D views?

Follow these steps:

1. Under the Elevation Point tab, select Annotation, or use the corresponding shortcut keys to activate annotation mode.

2. Select the elevation point you want to place.

3. Press the Esc key or click on an empty area with your mouse. This action ensures that the elevation point remains horizontal in the 3D view.

Summary: By applying these steps, you can prevent elevation points from tilting when rotating 3D views. This makes annotating elevation points more accurate and improves your overall model visualization experience.
