How to Remove Units and Suffixes When Annotating Plumbing and Electrical Lines in Revit

(1) Go to the ribbon and select Annotations > Tag by Category. Place a tag marker as shown in the image. This marker will now serve as the default value.

(2) To remove units from the tag, navigate to the ribbon and select Manage > Project Units, as illustrated below.

(3) In the Project Units dialog box, under Discipline, choose Electrical. Then select Cable Tray Size. The settings under Format will appear as shown in the image.

(4) Within the Format dialog, set the Unit Symbol option to None, as demonstrated. Click OK to confirm. Now, the tags in your view will no longer display units, as shown.

(5) Next, to remove suffixes from the tag, go to Manage > MEP Settings and select Electrical Settings from the dropdown menu, as pictured.

(6) In the Electrical Settings dialog box, click the Cable Tray Setup button. Delete the value in the Cable Tray Size Suffix field, as shown, then click OK to apply the changes.

(7) At this point, the tags in your view will no longer display units or suffixes, as illustrated in the image.
