How to Define Duct Equipment Properties in Revit

How to Specify Duct Equipment Properties in Revit

You can use the system-provided Device Attributes tool to modify the properties of mechanical equipment within a system.

In the drawing area, select the component from the system that you want to edit or delete. Then, navigate to the System tab, find the System Tools panel, and choose Edit System—either Pipeline System or Duct System, depending on your selection.

If the selected component is part of multiple systems, a Select System dialog box will appear.

Choose the appropriate system and click Confirm.

All components outside the selected system will dim, while system editing tools become active. The options bar will display the System Name, System Equipment, and the number of graphic elements in the system.

Next, click Edit Duct/Pipe System, then go to the Attributes panel. The Attributes palette will show the properties of the mechanical equipment serving as the baseline device for the selected system.

Make the desired changes and click Apply.

Once editing is complete, click Finish Editing System to confirm your changes, or select Cancel Editing System to discard them.

Note: You can also right-click the device in the view and select Attributes to open the Attributes options panel directly.
