The design concept features two enlarged cabins positioned above an existing house. One cabin accommodates the parents’ bedrooms and equipment, while the other contains the children’s bedrooms.

Each cabin’s perimeter is clad in black cedar wood, creating intriguing forms and a seamless continuity between the inner and outer surfaces. This design enhances the individuality and natural character of each hut.

This project transforms a previously enclosed, low-light home into an open-plan living space filled with natural light. A large cavity and elevated north-facing windows bring abundant sunlight indoors. The black cedar walls soften and filter the light, creating a cozy gathering area below.

The first floor features an open-plan layout that seamlessly connects different activity zones while maintaining their distinct functions. The suspended cabin creates a terrace at the rear, which serves as a versatile space for family gatherings and leisure.
