How to Create Chamfers on Structural Plates Using Steel Elements in Revit: A Step-by-Step Guide

Basic Steps for Creating Chamfers on Structural Plates Using Steel Elements in Revit

Chamfers allow you to customize the shape of structural plates. To create a chamfer, follow these steps:

First, navigate to the Steel tab, then select the Modifier panel and choose the chamfer tool (angled icon).

Next, click on the structural plate where you want the chamfer. The cut will be applied at the corner closest to your click location.

In the Attributes section, access the properties palette to specify which corners to cut.

Note that board and corner cutting options are only available when the view’s detail level is set to Fine and the elements are visible.
