The Yichang Olympic Sports Center Gymnasium, currently under construction, has utilized BIM technology to create a detailed 3D model of the facility.
Technicians have integrated drawing data from over ten specialties—including water, electricity, and gas systems—into the 3D model, resulting in a comprehensive visual database. In areas with dense pipeline networks, they identified 83 collision points where pipelines intersected with structural columns and beams. This crucial information was then communicated back to the design and construction teams.
BIM, or Building Information Modeling, transforms traditional floor plans into dynamic three-dimensional visuals and is primarily used in the construction industry to improve design accuracy and coordination.
