The T2 terminal project at Xinzheng International Airport, managed by the China Machinery Industry Sixth Institute, covers a construction area of 310,000 square meters with a new runway length of 3,600 meters. The project includes a second runway and taxiway system measuring 60 meters, featuring a flight area index of 4F. It supports the development of air traffic control facilities, fuel supply systems, and various production, living, and public service infrastructures. The construction timeline is set for 3.5 years, with an estimated investment of approximately 15.4 billion yuan.
In collaboration with the China Construction Third Engineering Bureau, this project employs BIM technology to create a 3D visualization model system through virtual construction. This approach enables design verification, identification and analysis of challenges and critical points, as well as risk prediction and prevention. By integrating three-dimensional pipeline layouts and optimizing design, the project enhances the detailing of supports and hangers. This guidance improves the installation of mechanical and electrical systems, reduces rework rates, enhances construction quality, controls costs, and ensures adherence to the scheduled timeline.
