Revit cannot cut the bottom of the main element based on the hollow surface of the face

Revit cannot cut the bottom of the main element based on the hollow surface of the faceIn【Revit】In the middle, if you want to use a face based hollow shape to cut the bottom of the main element, there is often a situation where it cannot be cut, as shown in the figure. So how can we solve this problem? Below is a brief explanation.

1. Return to“ Surface based hollow model; In the family environment, switch to the elevation, as shown in the picture.

2. Draw a reference plane 1mm away from the reference elevation (minimum building unit: 1mm), as shown in the figure.

3. Select the hollow shape, place the endpoint of the hollow stretch on the reference plane, and load it into the project to overwrite the previous version, as shown in the figure.

4. Place again, as shown in the picture.

5. Select the hollow model based on the surface separately and flip it over, as shown in the figure.

The significance of making the hollow model into a separate family:

1. Convenient modeling and time-saving

2. Easy to locate and adjust

3. Beneficial for the accumulation of component libraries, ultimately improving work efficiency.
