How to Apply Duct Color Filling in Revit MEP2019
Revit MEP2019 allows you to apply color fills to ducts, helping you visually differentiate various duct attributes within your project. To get started, open the mechanical view where you want to apply the color fill.
Navigate to the Analysis tab and locate the Color Fill panel, where you will find the duct legend option.
Hover your cursor over the drawing area, which will display a preview of the color-filled legend.
Click to place the legend in the view. In the Select Color Scheme dialog box, choose Duct color filling – flow rate as the color scheme, then click Confirm.
Once the legend is placed, select it in the view and go to the Modify | Duct Color Fill Legend tab. Then, in the Plan panel, click Edit Scheme.
In the Edit Color Fill dialog box, go to the Color section. From the dropdown menu, select the attribute you want to use for the color legend. You can then choose one of the following options:
- By Value: Applies a distinct color to each specific instance of the selected attribute.
- By Scope: Divides attribute values into defined ranges. You can select a range from the table and click Split to add new ranges. These ranges can be further subdivided after splitting.
After making your selections, click Confirm.
The ducts will now be color-filled based on the attribute you have selected. For duct segments that include joints, the color fill will be applied to each part of the segment accordingly.
