BIM Software Tip: How to Manage Shortcuts in Revit

Not all shortcut keys in Revit can be customized. The shortcuts listed in the table represent keys and key sequences that cannot be assigned to custom commands within Revit.

These shortcuts are reserved by Revit for specific functions and therefore do not appear in the Shortcut Keys dialog box under the Specify list. To see which shortcuts are reserved, open the Shortcut Keys dialog box and set the filter to Keep All. The reserved shortcuts will be displayed in gray and enclosed within angle brackets in the Specify list.
