BIM Software Tip: Expanding the Use of Revit Filters
Expanded Applications of Filters
1. Rule-Based Filters
These filters are created based on specific criteria such as name, description, or other properties. They are widely used to differentiate elements like walls on various floors, or different piping systems.
2. Selection Filters
Selection filters do not rely on predefined criteria. Instead, they are based on the elements you manually select as a group.
Although this method is less common, it is useful when you need to create a filter that includes multiple elements without a shared property. In such cases, you can select these elements and apply a filter to control them collectively.
