BIM Software Tip: How to Share the Creation of Revit Materials
When creating new materials in Revit, you often add various colors and textures. Here is a brief overview to help you understand the process.
Typically, materials are applied to solid models.
Start by selecting New Material.
There are three key types of material properties:
1. The first is the expression of color effects.
2. The second involves surface texture and color.
3. The third is the cross-sectional texture, also known as section texture. For materials within a project, this belongs to the section category.
Finally, there is a setting related to real colors, which is used for post-rendering purposes.
Additionally, you can manually add images as textures to customize the material’s appearance.
