How to Fix the Issue of “No Valid Elements” Displayed in Imported CAD Model Space in Revit

During the BIM project modeling process, importing CAD files into Revit often leads to various issues. One common problem is encountering a message indicating invalid elements in the imported file’s model space, as shown in the image below. Here is a step-by-step solution to resolve this issue.

1. Open the CAD software and enter the recover command at the location indicated by the arrow in the image below.

2. In the pop-up window, select the problematic drawing and click Open, as shown.

3. A window will appear indicating that the graphic files are being repaired, as illustrated in the figure.

4. After the recovery process, continue to open the CAD file and save it, as shown in the image.

5. When you import the CAD file into Revit again, the previous error message will no longer appear, as demonstrated.
