Creating Revit Suspension Bars
Begin by creating a new family template and selecting the rebar shape template – CHN for drafting. Switch to the flat state for drawing, then open the family type and set the style to Standard. Next, draw the shape of the suspension bar.
Afterwards, open the family type again to modify the starting and ending hooks by setting them to 180 degrees. Click to change the hook directions as needed to ensure they face the correct way.
Enhance the suspension bars by adding standards and labels. Open the family type parameter associations and adjust the numerical values of the assigned labels accordingly.
Load the suspension bars into your project, typically positioning them at the connection between the main beam and the secondary beam. Add a section here to place the loaded suspension bars. Using the controls on the suspension bar, you can freely drag and reshape it as required.
