Issue with Selecting CAD Drawing Nodes in Revit
When modeling in Revit, it is common to link CAD drawings and select lines or intersection points from these drawings as a basis for modeling. However, users often encounter difficulties when certain intersection points or lines cannot be selected. How can this issue be resolved? Below is a brief explanation.
1. Open the CAD drawing you want to edit using Tianzheng or AutoCAD. When you click on two lines connected at nodes that cannot be selected in Revit, you will typically find that these two lines are on the same layer, as illustrated in the image.
2. Change the layer of one of the lines to a different layer, as shown in the example.
After saving the changes, re-link the CAD drawing in Revit. This will allow you to select the previously unselectable node. Similarly, if the issue involves a line rather than a node, you can apply the same method by changing the layer of the unselectable line to match that of a selectable line.
Summary: When working with CAD models in Revit, selection issues can frequently arise. By applying the method described above, you can resolve these issues and streamline your modeling process.
