Changing Elevation Header Styles in Revit
The default elevation header style in Revit varies across different versions, but it can be customized to suit your needs. Today, we will guide you through the process of changing the elevation header style. Similar to inserting families, this involves loading new family styles from your library, which contains a variety of header options.
Within the Family Library, navigate to Annotations — Symbol — Under Construction to find various header styles.
For example, you can choose to add a top header. Generally, you can create headers positioned at the top, bottom, or with positive and negative zero offsets, allowing you to tailor the elevation header style to your specific requirements.
To apply a new header style:
- Load the desired header family into your project.
- Select the existing elevation header.
- Click Edit Type, then duplicate the type and rename it.
- Change the symbol to the newly loaded header family.
With these steps, you can easily update and customize the elevation header style in your Revit project.
