How to Measure the Distance Between Gridlines in Revit Volumes
When working with Revit massing, you might want to measure the distance between UV mesh lines on a surface. However, the alignment tool only recognizes the edges of the face and does not detect the gridlines. How can this issue be resolved?
One common approach is to enter the volume, add reference planes aligned with the grid, and then measure the distance between them. Although effective, this method can be quite cumbersome.
In this guide, we will show you a simpler way to overcome this problem.
As mentioned earlier, the alignment tool cannot pick up gridlines directly.
First, select the face where the mesh is located. Under the Surface tab, click the small triangle to expand the options for nodes.
By enabling the nodes option, the intersection points of the grid become visible and selectable. At this point, you can measure the distance between these intersection points directly.
